I’m Abi, also known as The Cocoa Vegan. Ten years ago I became vegetarian and for the past two years I’ve been cutting dairy products from my diet. It’s been a difficult process made easier by my love of cooking and experimenting with new foods. I can stand around in supermarkets for hours, and one of my favourite shops ever is Lakeland–a kitchen supply store.
I decided that 2017 would be my year to make changes and start doing things that I really have a passion for. So I gave up my job in March to pursue a massage therapy course, I registered myself as a food business and began soliciting local independent cafes where I could sell my current jewel in the crown: vegan cheesecakes and desserts. I’m still stretching myself to try new and exciting recipes, but so far I have three flavours that have proven to be a hit with my trusty taste-testers (you know who you are!)
I started my Twitter Page (@cocoavegan) and Instagram (@thecocoavegan) last year. Feel free to give them a follow! And now I’m finally starting my blog and website. My Tumblr: thecocoavegan.tumblr.com is where I host my cheesecake portfolio.
